Countryside

The community of Countryside is unique. It has been around for more than 30 years. It has seen community organizations come and go. Home Owner Associations were established where property guidelines and dues collection were the standard. There was a sense of community with the hook of an HOA.

Countryside is entering a new era. An era where we are able to re-create that sense of community but without the intense oversight of an HOA. It is “neighbor driven”. Thanks to the efforts of the Romersberger family and past president of the HOA, they have enabled the support of other Countryside community members to step up and re-engage the community. Why would they do this? For the sense of community, to maintain home values, community safety, and work with the local government and maintain a place for children and families to enjoy life. Over the past year they have re-organized into the Neighbors for Countryside organization. This is not an HOA. It is a neighbor/volunteer organization driven by a new Mission and Goals.

Countryside, along with its smaller subdivisions, has a rich offering of parks, trails, lakes, pools and playgrounds. Its sits on the western most edge of metro north suburban area of Denver. Quietly tucked between Denver and Boulder, with quick access to both cities via car and soon to be added commuter rail.

It’s one of the more affordable communities, yet offers a variety of home models and sizes. There are homes for the first time home buyer as well as the established family looking for lots of square footage and respectable lot size.

Near By is Standley Lake Regional Park. It is operated by the  city of Westminster and offers a multitude of water-sport opportunities, 60 campsites, and a Nature Center.   To the north are the FlatIrons Mall, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, and several corporate locations for well known tech companies.  The West View Rec Center borders the community on the north side with an extensive weightroom, gym, track, courts and offers on-site child care. This is also location to one of the city’s public golf courses.
